About the project

“Boat Bike And Me” – the Boat, the Bike and Me is the project of my second journey around the world – an incredible feat of covering every centimetre of the route, including the seas and oceans, using only my own strength, while also promoting positive values in life.

Before the conditions that must be met for the journey to be entered into the Guinness Book of Records, the word Circumnavigation. It refers to sailing, but its description and the conditions set by the definition must be met for my challenge in order for the journey to be fully recognised. The word has no exact equivalent for a land-and-ocean challenge — the phrase that fits best is around-the-earth.

Conditions for recognising an around-the-world journey

To gain official recognition of an around-the-world journey, the route must meet the following conditions:

  • it must be at least 40,000 kilometres long,
  • it must cross the equator,
  • it must cross all meridians,
  • it must start and end at the same point,
  • the traveller must reach two antipodes.

The challenge and its scale

According to the Guinness Book of Records, only two people have ever achieved such a feat!

Covering every kilometre, metre and centimetre of the route around the globe using nothing but my own strength: by bike on land and by rowing boat across the seas and oceans. Such a journey is an enormous challenge – not only physically and mentally, but also logistically. The preparations alone are a vast and complex undertaking.

To be covered

  • Five continents!
  • Two oceans!
  • 30 countries!
  • The Amazon to row!
