Charity
The Boat Bike and Me project is not only a challenge – it is also a commitment to causes close to the heart.
The eFkropka Foundation has been working for people who have experienced a mental health crisis for 15 years. It runs anti-discrimination and anti-stigma workshops. It is the organiser of four nationwide Mental Health Congresses (the 5th Congress will take place on 12 October 2026) and has contributed significantly to the launch of the pilot programme of Mental Health Centres. The Foundation runs the only Recovery Assistants’ Clinic in Poland.

Your Everest
The Your Everest Foundation is a small but passionate organisation that has been supporting children, young people and seniors in their development, health and everyday life for 11 years. We believe that each of us has our own Everest to climb – and we want to accompany as many people as possible on that journey.
What we do:
📌 Prevention workshops for young people – we teach how to take care of yourself and make healthy choices; we use tools such as alcohol-impairment goggles to show the real effects of drinking. In 2020 we were honoured with the title of Prevention Specialist of the Year.
📌 Prevention camps – group trips for children and young people where prevention is combined with education and fun.
📌 Memory training for seniors – for 6 years we have been keeping older people active, supporting their memory, fitness and social integration.
📌 Peer Mediation Centre in Zabrze – we teach young people communication and peaceful conflict resolution; we have already trained nearly 489 youth mediators.
📌 The 7/8 Award named after Lech Korniszewski – we are the initiator and co-organiser of this award, which honours people who are socially active, brave, sensitive and committed to changing the world for the better. For us it is an important way of promoting civic values and showing that it is worth taking action and responsibility for others.
📌 The “Heart for a Senior” campaign – we prepare festive food parcels for the poorest seniors in our city.
The Jeżyk Association
Facebook
The Association of Friends of the J. Wyżykowski Children’s Home in Wilków – the JEŻYK estate. In pursuing our various statutory aims, we focus mainly on social and occupational therapy. Our mission is to support and help every child so as to make it easier for them to adjust to a new situation in life and to ensure their all-round, positive development. Our work may seem ordinary at first glance, but for our children it is often the first chance to learn and discover new opportunities for development, new ways of spending free time and new places. This opportunity lets us make up for social disadvantages so that the children are, and feel, just as valuable as any other child. Everything we do is aimed at helping them learn about the world and has a positive impact on their development, their emotional well-being and their future.
